Basically a linked is the link of nodes connected to every next node through a pointer and a string is defined as an array of characters ending with a special character \u2018\\0\u2019. In this article, we will learn how to convert string to linked list.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h3>Problem Statement<\/h3>\n<p>In this problem, we need to convert string to linked list where each node will contain a single character.<\/p>\n<h3>Problem Statement Understanding of how to convert string to linked list<\/h3>\n<p>Let\u2019s try to understand this problem with the help of examples.<\/p>\n<p>If the string given to us is \u201cleaf\u201d:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Then, according to the problem statement, we have to convert string to linked list.<\/li>\n<li>The output linked list after converting the given string  \u201cleaf\u201d to a singly linked list will be: l\u2192e\u2192a\u2192f\u2192NULL.<\/li>\n<li>While converting the string to linked list, each character in the input string will be treated as a single node of our newly created linked list.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Let\u2019s take another example, say if the Input string: \u201cprepbytes\u201d<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In this case, our output singly linked list will be: p\u2192r\u2192e\u2192p\u2192b\u2192y\u2192t\u2192e\u2192s\u2192NULL<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Now, I think the problem statement is clear, so let&#8217;s see how we can approach it. Any ideas? If not, it&#8217;s okay. We will see in the next section how we can approach it.<\/p>\n<h3>Approach<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>To convert string to linked list, the nodes of our output singly linked list will be having characters in the data field, so we will make our node class have a char variable that will store character data and a next pointer to store the next node\u2019s address.<\/li>\n<li>Loop through the string and create the nodes while iterating through it.<\/li>\n<li>Make the last node\u2019s next pointer NULL.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Algorithm to convert string to linked list :<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Check if the string is empty.<\/li>\n<ul>\n<li>If it is empty, return a NULL pointer.<\/li>\n<li>Else, proceed ahead.<\/ul>\n<li> Create a node that will store the first character of our string, and it will be the head of our newly created list.<\/li>\n<li>Initialize a curr pointer with the above-created node.<\/li>\n<li>Start iterating the string from its second character till last<\/li>\n<li>Create a new node and assign curr\u2192next to it.<\/li>\n<li>Update the curr pointer to the newly created node.<\/li>\n<li>Return the head pointer<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Now, we will get our desired list as output, and we
